Jay Rome & Paul SG – The Amity EP
A. Tenston Mills
B. Random Sadness
C. She`s There
D. Quantrek – Sugar Soul (Jay Rome & Paul SG Remix)
Beginning with the very complex Tenston Mills, the talents of the duo are shown in its fullest effect programming drums, pads, vocals, and much more alongside a warm bassline and uplifting drums.
This paves the way to the slower, more morose Random Sadness. Slower than the previous, Random Sadness lays out the chill vibe, keeping true to the Digital Blus sound. Magnificent piano construction and deep, atmospheric vocals send this one rolling through to the end.
She's There, is a very deep number with crescendoing synth/pad hooks throughout the piece. The last track on the EP.
Sugar Soul, originally produced by the Japanese trio, Quantrek, receives a remix, bringing in a more energetic feel. An intense build-up is followed by a big drop, and the drums roll through to the finish,. But it's not as simple as it sounds. Building layer upon layer of different sounds and creating more of a synth/piano symphony, this final number is a great end to this brilliant EP.
