A. LOVE DRUNK
Just like the liquid funk masters before him, Jay Rome delivers a massive anthem of goodness for the dance floor. Punchy, rolling and a ton of fun, Ill-Esha's vocals fade in while the vibe builds. It doesn't take long before the tune dives into a forward driven barrage of amens, complimented by melodious keys. Don't get too excited yet though. The tune halts around the one minute mark to bring through another build up. Funky guitars and a vibraslap take residence in the background, before the drums drop again.
As if we didn't have enough elements in the fray already, a trap-style build takes place while modulated melodies play around in the background. Old school samples raise from the dead, while pieces of the vocal swim through the tune's many layers.
B. LOVE DRUNK (ILL-ESHA EDIT)
Much more trancy and 'epic' than the previous, Ill-Esha's vocal laces through half-time percussive hits. Bass rolls heavy while the melody lulls the listener. Easily versatile as an opener, mid-set transition or closer, the musicality within is superb. Sporting a glitch hop vibe suitable for the next club anthem, we're certain that the dance floor will go off to this one. Grab a partner. It's much more fun than dancing alone!
